Spirit Week 2024
From December 15-19, 2024, Ellesmere Muscat celebrated a new-found tradition of Spirit Week, an exciting and creative event that brought together students, teachers, and staff in a week filled with school spirit. Spirit Week is always a time for everyone to showcase their school spirit, and this year’s series of dress-up days provided a fun and memorable way to do so.
The first four days were fantastic!
Each of the first four days had its own unique theme, allowing students and staff members to get creative with their outfits and express their school pride. The week kicked off with Dress Up as Your Favorite Teacher Day, where students took full advantage of the rare opportunity to pay tribute to the teachers who inspire them by dressing like them! On Twins Day, pairs (and groups!) of students and staff dressed alike, promoting friendship and unity. Jersey & Jumper Day followed, with community members showing up to school in their favourite sports team jerseys and sweaters, adding to the positive atmosphere of the week. Movie Character Day brought out some truly amazing costumes, as students and teachers became their favorite characters from some of the most popular films.
Sports Day: Grade 11 & 12 students to the rescue!
On the final day of Spirit Week 2024, we held our annual Sports Day, where we celebrated the importance of physical activity and teamwork! Our Grade 11 and 12 students did a fantastic job of supporting Sports Day for their Primary and Middle School counterparts. From setup to teardown and everything in between, our Grade 11 and 12 student volunteers exemplified the best that Ellesmere Muscat has to offer! Their heightened sense of leadership, empathy and school spirit were all on display as they navigated the many tasks associated with pulling off our school’s wildly successful Sports Day 2024 campaign. We are truly grateful to our upper-secondary students for their commitment to our school community and their uplifting presence on our campus.
Spirit Week was a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together, have fun, and demonstrate the pride we all share in being a part of our ever-growing Ellesmere Muscat school community.
Have a safe and enjoyable break! See you all in 2025, in shaa Allah.
Best regards,
Mr. Ibrahim Abd Rahman
