Dear Secondary parents and guardians,
We are excited to introduce our new Secondary Midterm Report at Ellesmere Muscat. The purpose of this report is to provide you with a glimpse into your child’s progress across all their subjects, giving you an early indication of how they are performing in the first half of the term. The primary aim of this report is to offer valuable insights into the development of your child’s learning skills. As our secondary students progress, it is essential for us to focus not only on academic results, but also on how they are developing critical transferable skills needed to thrive in life after school. (e.g. critical thinking, collaboration, and self-management)
The comments provided by your child’s teachers are intentionally brief, crafted to highlight key areas of progress and potential growth. They are bite-sized reflections on the steps your child may need to take to ensure greater success as the term progresses. In the coming weeks, we will be holding a special goal-setting session, where parents and students will be invited in to discuss plans for improvement in light of the feedback shared on your child’s midterm report. We look forward to facilitating these conversations with you and your child in attendance. Thank you for your continued commitment to your child and, by extension, our school community.
Have a safe and enjoyable mid term break!
Best regards,
Ibrahim Abd Rahman
