I trust you all had a wonderful winter break. For some of you it was an opportunity to travel. For some of you it was an opportunity to stay in Oman. For some of you it was an opportunity to be with family. Where ever you were and whatever you did, I hope you had a great time.

For some of our students I am sure the break was spent studying. We have many exams coming up, some of which started today. We also have mock exams for our DP students. Please remember that teachers are all available to answer questions and emails so if you or you child has any concerns please contact the DP coordinator, Ms Amal or the respective teacher.

Today I had the pleasure of attending the grade 5C assembly. It was an informative assembly where the students taught us all about the greater Yellowstone ecosystem of Yellowstone National Park, under the unit of inquiry heading of Sharing the Planet. The students taught us about the diverse wildlife, and conservation efforts involved in ensuring the survival of animal and plant species. Grade 5C demonstrated enthusiasm and passion for their topic, which helped capture the audience’s attention. Their energy likely made the presentation more enjoyable and memorable especially when the reintroduced wolves were chasing the deer!!

Ahead of us we have a long weekend so we trust that you will enjoy some more time with your families and we will see you next week.

On Wednesday at 9am we will be holding a Coffee Morning in Elly’s Cafe. Please feel free to join us to have any questions answered or any concerns shared. Have great long weekend everyone
