“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”

“يتحدث الناس في كثير من الأحيان عن اللعب كوسيلة للابتعاد عن التعلم الجاد. ولكن بالنسبة للأطفال، اللعب هو تعلم جاد حقًا. إن اللعب هو بالفعل عمل الطفولة.”

Ellesmere at the MUN
Ellesmere Muscat recently made waves at the Model UN Muscat conference, an event transcending borders and fostering global understanding! Our students, embodying diplomats, dived into the intricacies of global challenges, representing countries, organizations, and individuals.

The MUN experience is a transformative journey, offering a firsthand understanding of diplomacy, international relations, and the inner workings of the United Nations. Beyond these insights, students develop a robust skill set, including research, public speaking, debating, and writing. The experience also hones critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills, essential for navigating the complexities of our interconnected world.

A total of 25 student-delegates passionately invested weeks in preparation, proving their dedication on the event day. The conference, punctuated by two impactful committee sessions, provided a platform for our students to showcase their prowess in diplomacy and problem-solving.

Throughout the day, lively discussions and impassioned arguments echoed through the halls as students tactfully sought common ground. In both moderated and unmoderated caucuses, they demonstrated not only diplomacy but also a commitment to finding peaceful resolutions.

The culmination of the program was marked by a prestigious awards ceremony, where our students were rightfully recognized for their exemplary performances. Congratulations to each participating student—your dedication, diplomacy, and determination have made Ellesmere Muscat shine on the global stage!
