These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all students, guardians, and legal representatives (“You”) who wish to register and enroll at Elsmere Muscat International School (“School”). By registering at our School, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, which together with our Privacy Policy govern the School’s relationship with you in relation to your child’s education.
1. Registration
1.1. Registration must be completed through the official School process, including the submission of all required documentation and information as specified by the School.
1.2. A non-refundable registration fee is required to process the application. This fee does not guarantee admission but covers the administrative costs of the application process.
1.3. Admission to the School is subject to the review of the application, assessment results, and availability of places.
1.4. The School reserves the right to deny admission to any applicant without providing reasons.
2. Fee Payment
2.1. Tuition fees are due as per the payment schedule provided by the School. Late payments may incur additional charges.
2.2. Fees cover the regular curriculum, certain extracurricular activities, and standard assessments. Additional fees may be required for special programs, trips, or exams.
2.3. The School reserves the right to withhold reports, documents, and to suspend the student from attending classes if fees are not paid on time in accordace with Minstry of Education regulations.
3. Attendance
3.1. Regular attendance is mandatory. Absences must be justified by the guardian or legal representative in writing or via official communication channels.
3.2. Excessive unexcused absences may lead to disciplinary actions, including possible expulsion.
4. Academic Achievement
4.1. Students are expected to maintain a satisfactory level of academic achievement. Regular assessments and evaluations will be conducted to monitor progress.
4.2. The School provides support to students who may be struggling academically. However, if insufficient progress is made, the School reserves the right to recommend alternative educational arrangements.
5. Behaviour
5.1. Students are expected to adhere to the School’s code of conduct, which promotes respect, responsibility, and integrity.
5.2. Violations of the code of conduct will be addressed according to the School’s disciplinary procedures, which may include suspension or expulsion.
6. Use of Student Images and Work
6.1. The School reserves the right to use photographs, video recordings, and/or images of students taken during school activities and events in the School’s publications, website, social media, and other promotional materials, without further notice or consent.
6.2. Student work, including assignments, projects, and presentations, may be used for educational, promotional, or exhibition purposes by the School.
6.3. Guardians or legal representatives wishing to opt-out of this clause must submit a written request to the School’s administration office, specifying the restrictions.
7. School Trips and Activities
7.1. The School may organize trips and activities that are deemed to complement the educational program offered. These may include off-campus outings, cultural visits, sports competitions, and educational tours.
7.2. Guardians or legal representatives will be notified in advance of any such trips or activities and may be required to provide written consent for their child’s participation.
7.3. While the School ensures to take all necessary safety and security measures, participation in these trips and activities is at the student’s and guardian’s risk.
8. Emergency and Health-Related Issues
8.1. In cases of emergency or health-related issues affecting a student, the School, acting in loco parentis, is authorized to take necessary actions to ensure the student’s safety and well-being. This includes administering first aid, seeking medical attention, and making decisions in situations where immediate action is required.
8.2. Guardians or legal representatives must provide the School with emergency contact information and update it as necessary. They should also inform the School of any medical conditions or allergies that the School should be aware of.
8.3. The School will always attempt to contact the guardian or legal representative in the event of an emergency; however, the School’s primary concern is the student’s immediate safety and well-being.
9. General Disclaimer
9.1. The School reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. You are encouraged to review these Terms periodically for any changes.
9.2. The School makes no guarantees regarding the outcome of any student’s education or future prospects.
10. Liability
10.1. The School is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to personal property, except where such liability is imposed by law.
11. Termination
11.1. The School reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment for failure to comply with these Terms, including non-payment of fees, unsatisfactory academic progress, or serious breaches of behavior standards.
11.2. In cases where the School deems it necessary to terminate enrollment, guardians or legal representatives will be notified in writing, providing reasons for the decision.
12. Governing Law
12.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the School operates which is Seeb, The Sultanate of Oman.
By enrolling your child at Elsmere Muscat International School, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your cooperation and commitment to these standards are essential for maintaining the high quality of education and community at our School.
